Wondering what WCU life is really like? Don’t take our word for it—come see for yourself. With WCU’s Open House, you and your family can get to know us better. Talk to our professors, hang out with our students, meet our staff, and get a glimpse of all we have to offer.

Open Houses are held each fall and spring. Students of all ages are welcome. 

If anyone in your party requires special services during your visit, please contact the Office of Admission in advance. 

8:00am – 9:30am / Registration & Check-In

Registration and check-in will take place at the entrance to the Ramsey Regional Center. Please try to arrive by 9:30am so that you have time to participate in the information fair taking place at the same time.

8:15am – 10:00am / Academic & Student Life Information Fair

Explore academic programs that interest you. Speak with faculty and staff about academic programs and speak with staff about programs and services to help with your college career. The Information Fair is located around the Ramsey Center concourse.

10:00am – 10:30am / Welcome Session (Arena seating area will open at 9:00 am)

10:45am – 12:15pm / Academic Sessions

An Entourage tour guide member will escort you to the information session at the completion of the Welcome Session.

12:30pm – 1:30pm / How to Pay for College

Blue Ridge Conference Room – Provided by the Office of Financial Aid & University Scholarships
(This session will last approximately 45 minutes.)

12:00pm – 3:00pm / Pay Your Deposit To Reserve Your Spot!

Admitted Students: Stop by the First-Year Undergraduate Admissions tent or the Transfer Undergraduate Admissions tent during the Student Service Information Fair.

12:00pm – 3:00pm / Dining Options

Students can redeem lunch vouchers at the Courtyard Dining Hall
*Parents and family members can purchase meals at any open dining location.

12:30pm – 2:45pm / Campus Recreation Center Tours

See the attendant at the front desk to tour the recreation center during this time.

12:15pm – 3:00pm / Residence Hall Tours

Tour Balsam and Blue Ridge residence halls. Tours depart every 10 minutes.

12:15pm – 2:30pm / Campus Tours

An Entourage member will guide you through campus. Tours depart every 10 minutes.

1:15pm – 3:15pm / Shuttle pickup to parking lots

Ride the Cat-Tran shuttle back to your vehicle. Cat-Tran pickup is located at the Cat-Tran pickup location above the fountain plaza area at location 6 on the Afternoon Information Fair diagram.
