Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health and Safety Resources

The University is taking multiple precautions to maintain a healthy campus community.  The Safety and Risk Management Office has developed guidance documents and training resources for faculty, staff, and other personnel to safely resume operations and prevent the transmission of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Employees will receive a series of COVID-19 training courses through their VIVID Learning online training portal.  

A training presentation for guidance on safely returning to campus and preventing the spread of COVID-19 is provided for individual, classroom or group training sessions.  To receive credit for the training, you must review the entire presentation and complete the attestation at the end of the training.

OSHA has established risk levels based on job tasks and the potential for exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace.  A guidance document is provided for review.

As job duties change, an employee may move from one exposure risk level to another.  It is important to conduct a risk assessment and identify when employees are at risk of exposure to the virus at work.

Employers in all sectors are experiencing shortages with PPE supplies due to COVID-19.  It is important to follow proper usage, care and maintenance procedures provided by the manufacturer to safely reuse PPE and optimize the supply.

Cleaning & Disinfecting Work Areas

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an increase in the number of disinfection products used by WCU departments.
