Begin learning Cherokee this summer!
This course will be held entirely online, with biweekly Zoom meetings.  The course is designed to combine TPR (Total Physical Response) methodologies with digital media to create a language learning environment suitable for safe distance education.  The class will introduce participants to the Cherokee language and culture through vocabulary modeled around experiencing and expressing the five senses.  By the end of this course, participants will be able to describe common experiences in their everyday lives through simple Cherokee sentences.

MEETING TIMES
Participants will meet together for 2 one-hour sessions each week through Zoom. Tentatively, these times will be Tuesday and Thursdays evenings from 6pm to 7pm. However, these time may change based on class availability and will be recorded for viewing at a different time if you cannot join the live chat sessions.

Class participants should expect to commit about 30 minutes each day (more for improved retention).
