Wireless Network Access

Faculty, Staff, and Students

WCU faculty, staff and students should connect to the eduroam wireless network for wireless service. This network uses enterprise security and encryption to keep your information private and secure. Connecting to this network will require some configuration. To configure your device:

  1. Connect to WCU-Guest.
  2. After accepting the networking requirements, click full access or go to on the device you want to connect.
  3. Choose the recommended option* and enter your WCUid username and password.
  4. Run the setup tool provided for your device.
  5. The tool should then configure your device and automatically connect you to the eduroam network.

*The recommended option installs a certificate on your device that will allow you to connect for up to 7 years. On Android devices, this requires you to have a passcode on your device. If you would rather not have a passcode, the alternate option will configure your device to connect. However, if you choose the alternate option, you must reconfigure your device every time you change the password for your WCUid account.

Gaming & Streaming Devices

WCU is excited to offer a wireless network for clients to connect their gaming systems, streaming devices, and other devices that do not support WPA2 (username and password) authentication. Visit to register your device for the WCU-Media network.
Step by step instructions on how to get connected

Note: This network is not designed for laptops or smartphones. These devices should use the recommended/alternate option to get connected to eduroam.
