The College of Education and Allied Professions is home to some of WCU's leading programs from teaching and psychology to human resources and educational leadership. No matter what program you choose, the College of Education and Allied Professions will provide extensive opportunities for hands-on learning through field experiences, outreach projects, research and professional mentorship.
Departments and Schools

Human Services
The Department of Human Services houses graduate and undergraduate programs including counseling, human resources, educational leadership and parks and recreation management as well as WCU's online birth-kindergarten teacher education program
Psychology
WCU offers both graduate and undergraduate programs in psychology. The undergraduate major is one of the largest at WCU, and students at all levels earn experience through the on-campus McKee Clinic.
Teaching and Learning
WCU's School of Teaching and learning prepares future teachers in high-demand areas. It offers graduate and undergraduate degrees, including three online master's-level programs for working teachers.
Social Justice
WCU’s interdisciplinary Social Justice minor is designed to help students engage in critical examinations of various forms of injustices and the power structures that maintain those injustices. The minor focuses on praxis (putting theory into practice), culminating in a capstone social justice focused service-learning experience.
