Arthur Salido, WCU’s executive director of community and economic engagement and innovation, graduated from Leadership North Carolina, a prestigious program with a mission to inform, develop and engage committed leaders by broadening their understanding of and involvement in issues and opportunities facing North Carolina.
Led by WCU’s employee wellness team, the event encourages faculty and staff to participate in various wellness activities.
A closing reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25.
Program staffers and local students have been pedaling the length of a 184.5-mile towpath from Cumberland, Maryland, to Washington, D.C.
The group established a new officer position to help organize and promote community service opportunities.
The event, titled “Navigating the Outdoor Economy in Southwestern North Carolina,” will be recorded for statewide broadcast later in June.
Conducted by email, the survey targeted graduates of UNC System universities who received bachelor’s degrees between 1940 and 2018.
The students from the musical theatre program – Callista Brown, Kelley Stancil, Benjamin Reilly and Matt Howie – are featured in a “Summer of 2019 Musical Review.”
The gathering focused on the topic “A Collection of Primary Care Practice Conundrums.”
