WCU feels the love during February fundraiser, with increase in donations and participation

The large number of donors during the month means that the university community met a special giving challenge issued by four alumni: Brad Bradshaw, Wes Elingburg, Ken Hughes and Dale Sims.

Tuck River Cleanup expands scope, will accommodate more volunteers

Students, faculty and staff, along with civic and community groups, will collect litter, debris and discarded items along the Tuckaseigee River between Cullowhee and Whittier on Saturday, April 13.

Orchestra to perform with university Concert Choir, student musicians

A Wednesday, March 20, concert will feature Poulenc’s “Gloria” and a Thursday, March 21, presentation will be Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” and Brahms’ “Academic Festival Overture.”

Scholarship recipient revels in advanced technology, new surroundings

It took a childhood spent in the outdoors for former competitive wakeboarder Lauren Bryson to appreciate the world of technology as a Western Carolina University student, and as a result, become the first recipient of the Hopkins and Ray Engineering and Technology Scholarship.
